Gay Rights: How Conservatives na approach to a social barometer
A question that many young conservatives away from the party line is gay rights - and particularly the association of the same sex.
Across the country, people come out of the closet in greater numbers and at a younger age. As a final result, even young people who travel in conservative circles have openly gay people in their group noble. Research shows that people who have a gay friend or colleague a family are more likely to support gay rights, whatever their political affiliation.
"On the controversy of gay rights, I tend to be more moderate than most conservatives because I know people gays," said Tyler Hinds. "I did not need them to be unhappy. "
Even those who have strong religious views are finding ways to embody the idea of equality for the LGBT community to their obligations of their faith. Hinds is a Mormon who describes himself as a positive religion, and Joseph "Tex" Dozier sees itself as a Christian heart.
